Do you like my new art work? ; ) This was supposed to be posted long time ago. It was some day during the Christmas vacations. I went to my friend's house because she wanted me to prepare her nails for her California trip!
For this manicure, I used China Glaze Sexy Lady and another grey nail polish that my friend bought from Europe. The name was unkown to me but it was nice grey creme.
These are some nail accessories that we found at my friend's house. To add some final touches to the nail art, I added the cute ones that looked like sequins. The sequins, along with the pink and grey colours, this manicure really looks like a piece of clothes! What do you think?
The nails here look super shiny because we put several coats of Seche Vite top coat to make sure that every single sequin would stay. I think it worked well and it was also this day that I found out how Seche Vite top coats dry really vite (fast)!! d=

Skin Food nail polish
Have you heard of Skin Food nail lacquers? I was first introduced to Skin Food by a friend who uses this brand's BB cream. Later, when my mother went back to Hong Kong this summer, she also bought me a Skin Food BB cream. As far as I know, this is a Korean cosmetic brand...and it stops here! hahahha Until today, I went to my friend's house for a relaxing princess day, and guess what I have discovered? A bottle of Skin Food pink nail polish!
Do you see the ruler and the "ml"? How can you resist to the cuteness of the bottle? The nail polish colour of my friend's is a light creme pink with a hint of orange. I opened the bottle, but the nail lacquer looked a little old because it was a little too thick. I have a feeling that painting on the nails will not be a pleasant experience. I would still like to try it next time though..at least to see the cute nail polish bottle heheheh
This must be the cutest nail polish in the market!! The bottle is totally like a baby milk bottle. I find it marvellously unique. It is printed "Milk Creamy Nails". I think the company really had in mind to create a lovely milk bottle to attract all us girls. d= Many nail polishes, especially from those big expensive brands, tend to have a square shape, which I find a bit boring now, for the mature look. Skin Food, on the other hand, has not only a more round shape, but also transforms the simple look into an amusing baby bottle with so many little details. If I see one in a boutique, I will definitely buy it!!

Fairies

This is a simple nail art. I added some black fairies and some purple flowers on my pink nails. The bubbles that come with the fairy design on the Konad plate are so lovely and add a hint of fairy tale. I really like to "cut" the image when I do my konadicures; I don't stamp the entire image to make each nail unique. I thought that it might not work as well when it comes to fairies..but the result isn't bad, isn't it? d= The colours and design remind me of spring. What do you think?Until next time,

Winter Christmas nails
Happy New Year to you all! May this year bring success and luck to all =)
I know I am a little late, but I would like to share with you my Winter Christmas nails tonight!
These nails are from last year....I loved them so much that I keep comparing all my konadicures to this one. From the colours to the design, I find this is no doubt my best creation! I also find that the pictures taken last year are nicer and clearer.......

This year, I am not as satisfied........I wanted to have a change, so instead of having my design in white, I used green and yellow. I thought red and green would give a nice Christmas feel. I think this konadicure is also beautiful, but last year's is more lovely d=

Finally a konadicure!

Hi everyone!
Now that school has started, my schedule is more fixed, so I seem to have more time to update my blog!
Today's post is a konadicure which I named "Summer butterflies". Finally, I can blog some of my designs! As konadicures take time to do, I believe this is the only one I did this summer. I had a few days off and I went to Toronto with my boyfriend, so I decided I had to get my nails ready for vacations heheheh
It is a simple design but I hope you all like it! =)

OPI Sweet Heart

Hi dearest readers!
I know I was supposed to post about OPI Stranger Tides..but I changed my mind d=
My summer class is finally over!! After continuous group work, paper, presentations, and exams, I feel soooo free! Stress-less! This feeling is soo great! Right after my final, I went out and had a nice day with my boyfriend. =)
Therefore, I finally painted my nails with OPI Sweet Heart, a sweet and soft pale pink. These pale colours with a white pigment base are always more difficult to apply. Surprisingly, I did not have much problem with OPI Sweet Heart. This is 2 coats.
The second picture is more accurate in terms of the colour. It is a very light beige pink. My friend at work says it looks a lot like Essie Spaghetti Strap but I find OPI Sweet Heart more opaque.
This friend will be leaving me soon; she found another job that is more in her field of studies =( I am very happy for her, but really sad about it in the same time. We have been working together every Saturday for so long... It is so great to have someone with whom you talk, have fun but never forget to have the job done seriously and properly. I am thinking of getting her a small gift with some nail polishes (so she remembers me heheheh) and some candies, because her eyes shine when she sees candies ; ) hahahha

OPI Sparrow Me the Drama

Hi readers!
A quick update! Here is my post about OPI Sparrow Me the Drama. This colour is absolutely fantastic! I love pink, but this one has sometimes a hint of purple under some "dark" light. Special! It is also not too bright, which matches the sad name a lot. I would describe it as a creamy dramatic pink d=
Application was very smooth. Another OPI nail polish that I love!

Essie Spaghetti Strap

Essie Spaghetti Strap is a nice sheer pink colour. This picture is 4 coats. I believe it's one of the few times I wear a sheer colour. Love it! It looks like my nails got a gel manicure, isn't it? I bought a gel manicure package online and I really can't wait to try it! For now, I'll have fake gel nails using Essie Spaghetti Strap d=

OPI Teenage Dream from Katy Perry Collection

Yesterday was such a lovely day!!! I received my valentine's day gift! =) Not only that, the OPI Katy Perry Collection finally came to my home and Teenage Dream is on my nails! As you can see, they are mini bottles which I love! Soo cute!! And I personally prefer cream colours, so a too big bottle might just be a "waste" to me. More importantly, the size makes the set cheaper! hahaha I got mine for about $17 CDN. Here are some pictures I took. This is 2 coats and the colour is slightly darker in real life. I believe 3 coats would be better but since it is a glitter nail polish..I thought of the moment I will be removing it..ahh it will take forever!! Anyway, I still love Teenage Dream for the sparkling and the pink colour suit perfectly its name, what do you think?
.
Now back to reality. It's time to continue reading!

Other nails-related gifts =)

I have been so jealous seeing Xuan-An's MAC gift... Last week-end, I met a friend who had been in exchange for a few months and just came back recently. Among the few little gifts she bought me, I found a few nail polishes! Yay!
Nails Inc is a brand you see everywhere in England according to my friend. As for Bourjois, I have seen the name when I was in Hong Kong..but it was a "eau de gloss". Unlike the other lip glosses, the eau de gloss is not sticky at all and i just love it! I hope the nail polish will not disappoint me!

"Ready for the wedding"

Hello readers!
I am guessing all students are back to school by now. It has been only 2 weeks that I am back to school but I am already overwhelmed by the readings and assignments.. So today's manicure is a simple one that does not require too much time to accomplish but the result can still be very nice.
.
.
As the name suggests, "Ready for the wedding" is a perfect design for brides or simply when you attend a wedding party. The base colour is a pink shimmer from PA nail polish and the tip is a ribbon sticker I bought at Pacific Mall, in Toronto. These ribbon stickers which I need to cut myself require some special attention.
1) the length of sticker you cut must be a little shorter then the width of your nail tip
2) when you put the ribbon sticker, do not stick exactly on the corner of the nails; leave a tiny space
3) before you put the top coat, encure that the sticker really stickes on the nail; it should look "flat"
If you follow all my tips, you should not see the sticker starting to get off.
Enjoy!

Cute little gift =)

Hello!
I just wanted to show you all a gift I received this Christmas from a very nice friend! She went to Disney World and was sweet enough to think of me heheheh a lovely necklace with the letter K =)
To match the cute necklace, I wore "Minnie on hand" again and used China Glaze Sexy Lady this time and added a silver glitter top coat. (The picture focuses on the necklace and not so much on the nails because the day I took the picture, the manicure was not as perfect anymore..) I still hope you like it!

"Duo colours"

Another post by me! I guess my friend Xuan-An has been very busy with school lately since the end of semester is approaching. I took a break from my case assignment to show you this simple nail art.
French tip stickers are very useful if you want to get the very straight line between the colours. For "Duo Colours", 2 stickers were necessary for each nail. I started with Nubar Champs-Elysees Pink and proceeded with Nubar Lavender. In my recent manicure, I like to always add a silver glitter top coat on my design, probably because it adds a touch of winter feel~
The cold weather is no doubt one of the biggest enemies to our hands. This week, I bought a manicure/pedicure white tea mask from OPI. I l-o-v-e the fragrance!! A review of the product will come soon!
.
Have a nice week-end!
.

"Cool Summer Breeze"

Another manicure from me! At this point, to see konadicure from me again and again should not be a surprise anymore. Hahah i just love it!! it is such a great invention huh? =)
.
This picture was taken this summer when there was sunshine and a little wind.. ahh the wonderful weather!! For those who don't know, it snowed yesterday in Montreal!! Not that I hate snow, but in October, I judge it is a little early...
.
For this konadicure, I used China Glaze Second-Hand Silk and plate m36. I hope you like the design.
.
Besides, with the weather changing, my nails keep breaking these days!! It annoys me so much!! To all my friends who care about their nails, remember to put lots lots lots of CREAM!!

Miss K's first post: "Once upon a time"

Hello everyone,
Here is my first post! I hope you all agree with me that the colour reminds of fairy tales and since "fairy nails" does not sound right... I thought "once upon a time" would be a cute name for this manicure!
Although the colours of my nails in the pictures do not seem to be the same..it is!! Sorry for the bad quality pictures. The next ones will be better, I promise!! Here, I used a pink shimmer nail polish to create this shading. To realize a gradient texture was not difficult since it is a sheer nail polish. I just had to put a lot of coats! hahahah Finally, I simply added a little yellow flower using Konad plate m3.
.
This is it for my first post! See you all soon =)

'Minnie on Hand' by Miss K
Good morning!
My dear friend Miss K took a break from her school work and recruitment to send me a picture of her latest manicure. She named it Minnie on Hand, because the design reminded her of Minnie Mouse!
She used Essie Innocent to make the tips!
The polka dots are super cute! Next manicure should be name after Mickey! ;)
Have fun today!
