Hey readers,
Here's another quick update. I wore RBL Diddy Mow all of last week, and absolutely loved it!
Army green creme- reminds me of camouflage! Application was easy and smooth, as with most Rescue Beauty polishes. All in all, I really liked this one! Will definitely be wearing it again!

OPI Fiercely Fiona
Quick update...
You guys will have to forgive my nails and cuticles on this one.... My left hand often gets neglected... It doesn't get the same treatment as my right hand, which is why I normally don't photograph it :P
I am still trying to get my nails back to how they were a year ago.
Fiercely Fiona, a chartreuse creme. It looked different in the bottle, but turned out less green and more yellow once on the nail. Application was... not good. 5 coats to achieve coverage.

MAC Jade Dragon
Hi guys!!
Hope everybody had a good holiday break!
I just wanted to make a quick update before going out for lunch with Miss K :) It's been a while, I've missed blogging about my nails. They do not look their best right now, (I blame work) but it'll have to do for now.
My cousin gave me 4 MAC polishes for Christmas, including this one, Jade Dragon. I've already tried Imperial Power, but didn't have time snap a picture before it got all chipped. Worry not, I'll probably wear it again in a few days ;)
Getting to the goodies...
This is Jade Dragon, a beautiful green shimmer. It's a tad dark, but visibly green. The shimmer is subtle, but is oh-so nice!! I was also surprised with application. I've had some difficult MAC polishes before, but this one was great. 2 coats.
Edited to add: I will probably update this post with better pictures next time!

Illamasqua Rampage
Good morning!!
I finally decided to cut my nails a bit, to make the break of my right index' nail less obvious. I couldn't resist putting on a dark color, as I'm one of those who believes that darker hues look better on shorter nails.
Rampage definitely lives up to the hype. I love it!! The formula was a bit thinner and easier to apply than Muse, but the coverage was the same: only 2 coats to achieve bottle color. I really like how you can tell that it is green, despite how dark the color is. It's truly gorgeous; easily my favorite green (from my stash)!
Have a great day!

Rescue Beauty Lounge Orbis Non Sufficit
Hi guys!
Today was my sister's graduating ceremony!! It was very nice, except that it was pouring rain outside and a bit long, lol. Can't wait till I graduate, though!!
Rescue Beauty Lounge's Orbis Non Sufficit is a gorgeous dusty green creme. RBL/Ji Baek delivers such great formula!! I can't help but be impressed everytime!!

OPI Jade is the New Black
Hi all!!
I know you've probably seen this color like a million times, but I recently received it in a wonderful swap and MUST show you!!
I absolutely love it!! I've pretty much been drooling every I saw a picture of this shade, so I was very excited to get my own bottle! It certainly didn't disappoint!
Jade is the New Black is a gorgeous muted green. The formula was great (2 coats), the only complaint I have is the brush... I'm not a huge fan of OPI's wide brush...
Finals are coming up!
To all my fellow students,
Good luck for your exams!

Revlon Minted
Revlon has a nice collection for Spring/Summer 2010, that consists of 4 pastel colors. I love pastels for summer!! Neons are great but I find that I don't reach for them that often.
I was able to get one of the 4 colors -would've bought all four but I'm trying to save up for my upcoming trip to the States. Here is Revlon Minted, the one color that caught my attention.
Swoon. Love.
Application was a bit tricky, as it was a bit thick and goopy, but I don't mind it at all. Three coats was required.
I heard it is limited edition, so get it while you still can!
Going to the sugar shack with some friends today!! Can't wait to stuff my face with maple syrup everything! Miam miam!
Have a great weekend, everybody!!

MAC Peppermint Patti
Peppermint Patti is a minty turquoise green. I didn't have any application problem. Two coats was enough to achieve bottle color.

Orly Spring 2010 Bloom Collection
Look at what the mailman left for me this morning!!!
I got my package from TransDesign: the complete Orly Spring 2010 Bloom Collection! I was so excited, I hadn't bought nail polish in a while and I was aching to get my fix.
Needless to say, I got to swatching right away. Quick swatches and comparison ahead..
Let's start with my least favorite from this collection.
Ginger Lily - burnt orange shimmer. I actually like this color but it doesn't "excited" me.
Blushing Bud - Hot Pink creme. I don't normally like pink-or hot pink- but this one is beautiful. The picture is not really color accurate: it's a tad darker in real life.
Thorned Rose - A dark raspberry creme.
Wild Wisteria - blurple creme. This one is gorgeous. You can see it's purple in all lighting, not black. The first picture is to show you the purple base.
Pure Petunia - Violet creme. Very pretty.
Wandering Wine - gorgeous green creme. This has got to be my favorite from this collection! It's absolutely beautiful!
And now for the comparisons
Pinkie and Middle: Orly Enchanted Forest
Ring and Index: Wandering Wine
Wandering Wine is greener, lighter and less muted. In my opinion, between these 2, Wandering wine is the winner!
Index and Ring: Orly Pure Petunia
Middle: OPI Pamplona Purple
Pinkie: $OPI Domestic Goddess Matte
Pamplona Purple and Pure Petunia is pretty similar, the latter is more pinkish and is lighter in color.
Index: RBL Atame
Middle and Pinkie: Orly Thorned Rose
Ring: Essie Wicked
Thorned Rose has a hint of pink, whereas Atame and Wicked are more red.
Pink and Middle: Zoya Pinta
Index and Ring: Orly Wild Wisteria
In my book, these two are dupes. There might be some slight differences, but you can't really see them unless you really look into it. To be honest, I almost got confused about which color was on which finger.
Overall, I really like this collection. The colors are gorgeous, not necessarily unique, but I still love them all. It seems like the whole collection just goes really well together, all the colors "belong there" and it feels complete. Application was effortless, the formula was very pigmented and the consistency was remarquable. It was perfect: not too thick, but not runny either. Most of the swatches required only 2 coats, except for Thorned Rose, which took 3 coats.
I don't know what was the official launch date for this collection, but it is now avaible on TransDesign and Head2Toe beauty

Still alive..
Hey Guys!!!
I can't believe I haven't updated since last week!! Even worse, I didn't even change my mani!!! Fortunately, it didn't chip much...
My last week was the week of hell!!! I had a marketing presentation, an report for accounting, a 20 pages managerial economics report to write, a stats assignment, a 3h accounting tutorial...... All done now, so I have time for my nails :)... at least until exams begin...
So here's my last week's mani:
Sally Hansen Project Runway with Essie Matte about You.

Sorry for the blurry picture..You can't really see the color properly here, so here's another picture of PR with glossy top coat that I took some time ago.

This one is from the Mode Collection, I had wrote a full review of the collection here
Alright, now back to studying..
Have a great week!!

Nfu-Oh 274
This is probably one of my favorite polishes that I currently own.
It's just gorgeous!!!!!
Nfu274 is a beautiful dark greenish teal (or teal-ish green). It's a tad darker in real life, compared to the picture, but still beautiful nonetheless.
I've always loved Nfu-Oh's bottle because they're so pretty! I didn't think of taking any pictures, so I'll just describe it to you: it's a cute little corset dress! The corset part is the handle and there even detailing on the back!
The formula is pretty good too: it's pigmented, easy to apply, smooth and perfect consistency.
Nfu-Oh can be bought from FabulouStreet for $12.50 USD/$13.82 CND a bottle (free shipping within the US)!
Have a great week!

Sephora by OPI Dark Room
Another $OPI!!
Later in the summer, Sephora released a color "exclusive" to Beauty Insiders. "Exclusive" because I saw it in display in stores, so anybody can buy it. Anyways, their website describes Dark Room as a "deep almost black with a hint of midnight green". I think this is a pretty acurate description.

I know many were expecting this to be more green and were deceived. It has a hint of teal in there, very visible in the bottle but not so so much on the nails.
I'm not blown away by this one.. The formula was pretty thin, as it took me 3 coats for it to be opaque.
You can get this in-stores now or from Sephora.com

Nubar Peacock Feathers
Hello!!
So.... I had heard a while back about Nubar nail polish and how great their duochromes were so when I got the chance to swap for one, I jumped on it!!! YES!
I got Peacock Feathers, a beautiful duochrome that transforms from shimmery purple to shimmery green. It's so cool. Check it out:

This is the purple that you see at full angle:

Another that shows the duochrome:
I did my best to catch the duochrome but I didn't have good light so please excuse me.

MAC: Jin Soon for MAC Nail Trend FW 2009
Hey guys!!
I finally have pictures of Jin Soon for MAC Nail Trend's Cool Reserve, Dance All Night and Beyond Jealous. There are 3 more from this collection, but I did not buy them just because they did not really appeal to me....
Anyways, I'm so sorry it took me so much time. Because of school, I don't have time to swatch so these are pretty much last weeks NOTDs.
Cool Reserve is described as a "dirty grey lavender" and I can't describe it better. 2 coats.

Dance All Night. I had to have this shade ever since I saw it in pictures, I don't know why. It's red, nothing very unique but it's such a pretty brick red and it's got that old, burnt feel to it that I love. This was 2 coats.

Beyond Jealous is a dark green, almost blackish, but you can definitely see the green base. According to my dad, this is the nicest shade I've ever had on, although he thought it was black hahaha. 2 coats.

I'm pretty satisfied with these 3. The only complaint I have about MAC polishes is that they tend to chip very quickly on me. :(. Otherwise, very nice formula.

Sally Hansen Salon Mode Collection 2009
Hey there! So amidst the ugly weather here in Montreal, we had a bit of sunshine during the weekend. I took advantage of it and swatched all day Saturday (instead of studying..)
Today, I present you Sally Hansen Salon Mode collection for fall 2009. The formula of all these were pretty thin and runny. It was not that bad, but it's not the consistency that I'm used to from Sally Hansen Salon. As I've said before, none of these are creams. They're all shimmers and I was surprised at some colors!
Pictures first, then info.
American Beauty. Berry shimmer. It's a nice color, but not unique. I'm not head over heels. Love the shimmer, though. 3 coats.
Project Runway. BEAUTIFUL turquoise-ish green with gold microglitter. I love this. I was expecting amazingness when I saw the bottle, and it definitely delivered. 3 coats
Purple Heart. Purple with blue and red microglitter. This was nice. It reminded me of China Glaze Let's Groove, but compared side by side, they do not look alike. I believe this one is darker than ChG but they both have blue and red microglitter. 2 coats.
Fashion Forward. It looks blurple (bluish purple) in the bottle, but on the nails, it's dark dark blue. Like the others, it's also a shimmer. I wanted this one to be like the color in the bottle sooo bad!!! but I still like it. I don't really think "fashion forward" is a proper name for this one though.. 3 coats, but could have easily been 2.
Burnt Sienna. I wasn't expecting to like this color when I bought it, but wow. I don't have any other color like this, since olive-ish gold shimmer doesn't normally suit me. But wowwee. I love this one! I like the name too! 3 coats.
Valentino. Brown shimmer. Love this one too! I was pleasantly surprised with this one as well! It's a brown bas color, with tiny tiny microscopic gold and green glitter. In sunlight, you definitely see the olive gold (see in the picture?!). I love this shade, and I don't normally like brown. I think this was 2 coats.
Overall, I like this collection. I'm not going gaga over this, but was pleasantly surprised with half of the shades. I love unexpected beauties! The one that stands out though, is Project Runway. It's a must for every green lover.
By the way, I have pictures of 2 out of 3 Lippmann Celebration polishes. the 3rd'll come.. I just have to give my hand a rest from the glitter scrubbing :)

Rescue Beauty Lounge Orbis Non Sufficit
Continuing with another Rescue Beauty Lounge Blogger polish!!
This one is from the Polish Addict, named Orbis Non Sufficit:

I'll get to the polish in a minute, but I just had to say: "DAMN YOU SCHOOL!!!!! LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO MY HANDS!".
Ok done.
I would describe Orbis Non Sufficit as a muted army green creme. It's very pretty and one of the rare greens that I like on my nails. It has a dusty look too, which I love. Pictured above was 2 coats, with Poshe top coat.
As for the other RBLs application was amazing. See that picture? I didn't do any clean-up because it was that easy to apply and control. If only all nail polishes were like that.
Again, these polishes are limited edition and retail for $18/ea USD. For all international gals, I would say get this, but only if you can justify paying $40 for shipping!
