MAC Lola Devine

Hi!
Hope you all had a good weekend... Mine was so-so...
Allergies has kicked in. My sinus is blocked, my nose is runny, my eyes itchy, can't stop sneezing, and now I think I have a cold. GREAT!

Moving on......... Today after school, I have decided to go buy nail polishes. I haven't done so in a while so I know it'll make me feel better. Just thinking about it makes me feel better!! :) Haha

MAC Lola Devine is a cute little pink creme. I only used 2 coats, but 3 would've been better, because it is still a tiny bit uneven.

Alrighty. I'm out.
Hopefully, I'll come back home with some nice nail polishes! :)

Rimmel Tequila Sunrise

Happy Saturday!

Rimmel Tequila Sunrise (in shade and in sunlight) is a orange creme. (In real life, the color looks more like in the first picture.)

I am not familiar with Rimmel's formula as I only have 3 polishes from them but, Tequila Sunrise's formula was not the best, unfortunately. It was hard to get it smooth and it was goopy. I used 3 coats to even out all the bald spots.

It's so nice out today! I think I'm gonna step out and enjoy the good weather.
Have a great weekend everybody!

China Glaze Second-hand Silk

'Morning!

Finally found my camera! Don't know why I didn't think about looking in my polish boxes! Haha

Second-Hand Silk is a super cute pink creme! The formula was a bit goopy, but after three coats, it was fine!!

Alrighty that's all I will write this time. I have a huge French literature exam this afternoon... wish me luck!

OPI Sheer Your Toys

Hi!
I've somehow misplaced my camera, so I haven't been able to take pictures of my nails :(
this is the last one I was able to take before losing it... hopefully, I can find it soon! (it's not the best picture though, I apologize)

Sheer Your Toys is a gray shimmer with copper flakes. It is not sheer like the name suggest, but I still did 3 coats (2 would've been fine!)

China Glaze Stella

Hello!
I've been so busy following all the hockey games, I totally forgot to update here!! Sorry! I just had to invest all my energy in the Pens-Habs series... Can't wait for the semis!!! Montreal is going ca-ra-zy!!!!

China Glaze Stella, a beautiful purple shimmer from the Retro Diva collection. I love the tone of this polish: a blackened purple with a nice hint of pink. Formula was great, same for application! Putting this polish on was a breeze!!! 2 coats.

Have a great day!!
GO HABS GO!

MAC Spicemix

Hi lovelies,
Hope you all had an amazing weekend!

I decided to pull out a color that I've rarely used, even though I love it!

MAC Spicemix is a brown shimmer. Application was lovely! This was 2 coats, and the polish dried in a reasonable amount of time! When I got this one, I didn't expect to love it as much as I do. I don't normally like  brown, but this one is simply beautiful!

We had a bit of snow yesterday.... hope that was the last time!!!!!

Nail art on men?!

Hi!

So I was reading a bit of gossip on the web and came upon this picture. It was taken at AJ McLean's show at the Roxy in Hollywood.

I don't really know what to think of this... Sure, I love nail art, and believe that men should be able to wear nail polish without being judge. But I believe this is the first time I've seen nail art on a man.

What do we think?
More importantly, do we think he used Konad?

Much love,
X

Miss K's spongicure!

Hi!
It's finally the end of the week! Can you believe that in 5 weeks, I am supposed to be reading 5 books and 10 articles for my French literature class?! It's gonna be insane!!! Plus, I haven't read a french book in years, so I kinda need to get back into the groove...

My friend, Miss K, whom I haven't seen in a while, spoiled me today by sending me a picture of her gradient spongicure!

She used 3 Konad [princess] polishes, pastel pink, red and then dabbed on some rainbow glitter to finish off her look! Cute, I'd say!

Miss K is moving closer to my home this summer! I can't wait! It means nail dates/manicure nights!!!!!

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend, everybody!

Sally Hansen Gunmetal

It's hump day!!

Patrick Watson's show yesterday night was incredible, as always. I have so much reading to do for my summer class, plus I have to make cupcakes for my little brother's fundraiser at school. It'll be fun though because I love baking and I love reading! :)

Here's Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Gunmetal, a metallic grey, with a hint of blue. It's pretty cool. It's very shiny/glossy on its on too, which adds to the 'metal' effect. Application was great, 2 coats needed, and the formula was great, smooth and pigmented. (Worn without top coat in the picture)

Have a great day!

L'Oréal Resist and Shine

Hi!
Again, I want to apologize for being so bad at this blogging thing. I've been out enjoying the weather with some friends, eating cupcakes and soaking up the sun :). I'll update more frequently, promise!

Last week, my sister bought a bottle of L'Oreal Resist and Shine Titanium on sale and I thought I'd give it a try. Their website describes this collection as follows:
'The latest range of Glossy Blacks from Resist and Shine Titanium features beautiful black metallic colors for eye-catching nails for any occasion!'

This one is 734 Black Red.

It is exactly as the name says: its a blackened red. It's really gorgeous! I love how you can see the red sparkles in the sun/light!This was 2 coats, application was pretty good, I liked the formula thought I cannot say I particularly liked the small brush handle. The polish is resistant: after 4 days, I only have minor tip wear, which is barely noticeable.

Also part of the collection are black purple, black blue, black turquoise, black gold and black mauve. They retail for about 9-10$ CDN each and I'd say it's definitely worth trying.

Going to see Patrick Watson in concert tonight! Can't wait!
